Plan Today to Upskill for Tomorrow
There is no time like the present to prepare for your future.

And, if that future could be more prosperous, satisfying and engaging than your current work / life then it is very possible that undertaking some form of training or further education is a good pathway towards that happier life!
So, it's great news to read that the Federal and South Australian governments will inject $65 million into South Australia’s skills and training sector with 12,500 fee-free further education places in 2023. An agreement has been signed by governments to provide 10,500 free places at TAFE SA and 2,000 to be delivered by other providers. Now that is attractive, particularly if fees have been a barrier to course enrolment.
As widely reported, you are likely aware that we have significant skills shortages in the care sector, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, technology, tourism and hospitality. Therefore, this funding is welcome news to ensure we have the capability to drive personal, state and national economic prosperity.
But please don’t be lulled into professional complacency due to SA’s low unemployment figures, reported by the ABS as 3.9% for October 2022. Although this low figure is a far cry from 12.5% in January 1993, competition for many roles, across many industries, is still significant.
So, secure your strong career and future through ongoing training and development, whether in the areas identified with skills shortages or those of your interest and experience. Continual learning and skills development are essential for a world, workplace and workforce that is constantly changing. We, as individuals, whatever our age or stage in life, must change with them – that is our personal responsibility.
So, plan today to upskill for tomorrow - for a secure, enriched future, whether in work, leisure, or life in general.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can assist in that pursuit! 😊
